The shape of the pen also looks like a bolo, which is a Filipino term for a large cutting tool or knife similar to the machete. This is the inspiration for the design of the pen. This ergonomic pen is designed to let you hold the pen the proper way with your middle finger resting comfortably on the right corner, thumb on the left curve and forefinger on top, very close to the flange. It's so comfortable that you literally feel like the nib is a extension of your hand and allows you much control on your writing.
